Have you ever felt like the way forward isn't clear? Perhaps you're feeling frustrated, insignificant or unworthy because of that lack of clarity?
You've got an idea about something you'd like to make happen but you feel stuck. You've tried everything and the outcome you want just isn't happening.
You find yourself thinking, "I've been working so hard. I've been so optimistic. I'm following my bliss and I've been patient. But today it hit me hard that I'm not as far along as I want to be and I feel frustrated about that idea. I'm even sad and have thoughts of throwing in the towel."
Congratulations! This is information with which we can absolutely work.
You see .. feelings don't exist in a vacuum.
If there's a feeling there's an active belief.
By the term 'active belief' I mean a belief that is active right now, today. It has energy flowing to and through it and its pulsating producing a vibration.
That vibration is being revealed to you in real-time via an emotion. For our purposes here, feelings and emotions are the same things.
It's not hidden from you. In this moment, the active belief is not hidden on a sub-conscious level. Feelings are not below your level of consciousness. Emotions are identifable manifestations ... of which you are already, or can be more, conscious.
You know if you feel good, bad or meh about an idea. It doesn't have to be more complicated than generalized emotions.
Here's a quick test. How do you feel about:
- paying bills
- your home
- your kids
- your career
- your body
- your self
- your in-laws
- social media
- your birthday
You had some level of emotional response to these topics. It was somewhere on the spectrum from fear to love.
Manifestations are not only the see, hear, taste, touch and smell stuff. The term manifestation applies to your inner reality as well as the outer one.
Feelings are SUPER important because they tell you critical information about HOW to move forward experiencing what you want in life.
Feelings, which are hormone cocktails, are felt in the body. You can feel stress in a surge of cortisol. You can feel love in a spike of dopamine.
Active beliefs are the architects of your moment-by-moment reality experience.
Inactive beliefs don't have enough momentum to cause a manifestation in your reality so nothing to worry about there!
This is why I'm glad you're aware of how you feel. Well done!
Of course, I don't want you to stay in the yucky feelings which is why I'm sharing this information with you.
When you become aware of a negative/limiting/yucky feeling, here are two questions you can ask yourself:
- If I move forward in the way I say I want to, what am I afraid will happen?
- What would I need to believe is true about myself in relation to this topic to feel the way I do?
These two questions illuminate the active belief(s) and are part of the step #1 of HOW to move forward.
Once you hear yourself articulate the limiting belief associated with your yucky feeling, you can begin to question the active belief and rewrite it (step #2 of the HOW).
Please understand that we are each on individual journeys. (step #3 of the HOW). The time it takes you to shift your focus to a new better feeling active belief will take you as long as it takes you. That might be one day or one year.
The time element is irrelevant. If you have an active belief that time is a critical element of your *success, you'll have a feeling about yourself in relation to the time its taking you to create your outcomes. That's how you know what your active belief is! It might sound like ...
- I should be farther along by now. Look at her. She's so successful at such a young age.
- This is taking way too long. I deserve better.
- I'm getting too old. It's a waste of my time.
- I've invested so much time, money and energy. I'm a failure because I don't have my results yet.
When you can, diminish how you're focusing on time or comparing yourself to other's time journeys IF ... doing so makes you feel bad in some way. If it doesn't, keep doing what you're doing.
You can absolutely reach a place where sitting in a space of uncertainty doesn't feel bad. [However, me saying that doesn't make it an active belief for you. I wish it did!]
You can shift to an active belief that says .... It's okay that I don't know exactly what will happen but I trust that what is happening is exactly what I need and that I'm 100% supported in this earthly experience. [Check in with yourself. How do you FEEL when reading that statement?]
I'm guessing you've heard claims of 'quantum leaps' in the personal development world? I can explain what's happening when it appears someone is having a quantum leap but for today, turn your attention away from everyone else's results and make peace with your incredibly individualized journey.
You're right where you need to be. It's not happening too slowly. Conversely, life will never happen in a way that you can't handle such as too fast.
Nothing has gone wrong. Everything you need is always available to you ... which might be different than what you think you want but you'll always have access to what you need for your individual journey in every moment.
Negative beliefs (and we know it's negative because you feel bad) want to stay alive. They'll tell you anything and turn up the volume on the terrible feelings in order to stay alive.
You're not doing anything wrong when you have negative emotions. Everything is happening according to how this reality operates. It's okay to have negative sensations and is simply an indication of an active belief. That's fantastic news!
Beliefs CAN change. We just need to start looking at them a little differently.
