Bell Rock, Sedona: Energy Vortex

Mar 31, 2024

If you're interested in energy and visiting the energy vortex sites around the globe, you've probably heard of Sedona and Bell Rock.

It's claimed to be one of many energy vortex points globally.

Located just south of Sedona, Arizona, this gorgeous vista is visited by the energy-curious (and non-interested) worldwide. Once you arrive at Bell Rock, you can climb directly up the rock or walk the path around the bottom.

I climbed up.

There is no easy path up. Along the way, corralled rock piles mark the most common route.

The view from the top is magnificent.

When we checked into our room a few days before, the concierge handed me a map and circled Sedona's four most visited energy vortex sites. She shared a comment from another guest that they couldn't see the vortex at Bell Rock.

You can't see energy vortexes. You feel them.

What do you experience? That depends on you.

Did I feel a different energy while climbing the mountain?

No. Not necessarily. I was more concerned with staying on my feet.

I didn't see aliens, time didn't bend in unusual ways, and no angels sang.

But I did buzz with excitement. I'm still buzzing even though I'm home now. I'm counting that as having "tapped into" the energy vortex around Bell Rock.

My permission slip was climbing a big, red rock to feel happy and aligned.

At one point in the climb, we went up a rock face with few toe-holds. It was smooth and quite vertical. I was nervous, but after two five-year-olds climbed up like goats, I knew it was all good.

I felt happy more than anything else. Truly happy. I was my own invisible vortex of swirling, excited energy.

To me, the definition of an "energy vortex" is simply alignment. Alignment can be described as happy, satisfied, or excited.

I was all those things and more.

I've always wanted to visit the Grand Canyon and, in the last few years, Sedona specifically.

Visitors come specifically for mindset and energy healing retreats.

In Sedona, every other shop offers gems, energy healing, massage, Tarot, and psychic readings. Before I understood that I create my own reality (Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts) and that everything I do (buy, engage in mentally and physically) is a permission slip, I would have been more tempted to purchase a gem or partake in energy healing, believing that because it was Sedona, it was something "more" meaningful or powerful.

Driving away from Bell Rock, I asked my husband, "Do you think anyone would believe me if I told them there's as much (if not more) healing power in their living room as there is at Bell Rock?"

It doesn't matter where you are in the world. If you want to experience healing and the idea of an "energy vortex," it's less about where you are and more about how you feel.

Alignment happens anywhere.

Climbing Bell Rock, I felt delighted.

Delight is a state of being that creates a unique, one-of-a-kind energy vortex. Happiness is a state of alignment.

Do I think Bell Rock is a special place? Yes! It's gorgeous, and it's really something to see and climb.

But if you aren't able to visit, don't despair. By altering your feelings, you can create an equivalent state of being, a unique at-home energy vortex.

The Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon X, and Horseshoe Bend created the same excitement and delight I felt at Bell Rock.

I felt less impressed with Slide Rock Park, but probably because it was too chilly to get in the water.

Energy vortexes are everywhere. They're in your being because reality is a projection of consciousness, and consciousness is everywhere and every now.

How will I create a healing energy vortex now that I'm back home?

I will use the memory of this trip as an excuse to be more in alignment than I was before. And I'll create that state of being and experience in my living room.

The benefits of alignment are endless.

We create our reality. You can use anything to create a sense of alignment or being out of alignment, for that matter.

I highly recommend visiting Bell Rock, Antelope Canyon, or the Grand Canyon as an excuse to get into alignment or experience the energy of a vortex.

But you can create a healing energy vortex in your home or backyard for those who cannot visit.

All it takes is a shift in alignment. You can use anything as an excuse to shift your alignment: spring flowers, a good night's sleep, or a lively conversation with a good friend.
